I am in charge of preschool for the month of February so I planned a fieldtrip to a pediatric dentist for the kids. To start they read a book about going to the dentist.
Then they learned about x-rays. None of the kids wanted to sit in the chair and pretend to get x-rays! They were all a little afraid at first!
Next the dental assistant showed them the cleaning tools that they use. They let the kids suck up water with the suction! They loved this!
Then they taught the kids how to brush their teeth properly. Mia loved using the big toothbrush on the stuffed animal!
Then all the kids got to try out the exam beds and see how the light shines. They also had tv's on the ceiling!
Next to the procedure room. The kids got to see how the chair went up and down. They also got to try on the elephant nose (for laughing gas)! The kids thought that the elephant nose was so funny!
And the finishing touch...they got goodie bags with crayons, book, toothbrush, toothpaste, and stickers!
Thanks Children's Dental!
